Become a Contributor

If you are passionate about mental health and children, helping teenagers overcome trauma, or contributing to creating awareness for sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, sudden loss, or other related topics. We invite you to become a contributor and submit your guest posts.

Submission Requirements: 

We are ONLY looking for writers who are familiar with the topics we cover. Preferably, you are a health care professional, a trauma or PTDS survivor, or are involved in the fight to stop teens’ commercial exploitation in the United States.

We review all requests and only accept guest articles that will add value to our readers and conform to our mission. All submissions will be reviewed by our editorial team.  

Please submit a draft of your article if it meets our guidelines:

  • Write an original guest post in 1,500 words or less.
  • Provide a catchy and descriptive title for the post.
  • Use proper spelling and grammar.
  • Give credit and site content where necessary.
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest
  • Submit your Author bio. Please note that it MUST detail past health care experience or verifiable evidence that you are an expert on your post’s topic. 
  • If applicable, submit your social media account link for publishing. 
  • Optional: authors may submit personal photos, licensed or creative commons licensed graphics with credit information, original diagrams, etc., that are to be posted with the blog or article. 
  • Any photos and graphics created by other individuals or companies must be listed with one of the following creative commons licenses: Attribution (CC BY)Attribution-NoDerivs (CC BY-ND), or Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA).

Terms and Disclosure

teentrauma.com reserves the right to edit content, grammar, spelling, etc., upon approval from the author. We reserve the right to refuse to publish any works submitted for review for any reason. We ARE NOT obligated to disclose the reasons for rejecting a submission or a contributor.  

When a submission is not published or not contacted by a team member, we likely found erroneous facts or misleading information, or the content submitted is irrelevant or inconsistent with our editorial strategy. We do not promote commercial products or services that are not vetted and found to be valuable resources to our audience. Articles with unnatural links or the use of excessive links or misleading anchor text will be ignored. 

All original content you contribute remains your intellectual property.
